About

The Christos Poetry Prize

Celebrating Creative Passion & Freedom through Lorne’s own summer writing Prize.

The prize is inspired by the legacy of our poet and friend Christos Raskatos, who ran Lorne Fisheries in his flamboyant, generous and poetic style for so many years.

The theme of the prize changes annually. The theme is announced in early December and entries close mid January.

The judging focuses on the quality and power of the writing. Entrants are encouraged to take risks and follow their vision, to explore poetic techniques in order to find the most powerful way to inspire and delight readers.

The headquarters for the Christos Prize is In the Skies Art & Music, 8 Mountjoy Pde, Lorne.

Please see Rules of Entry and Judging and Prizes for more details.
